Matt Shakman directed the series with Jac Schaeffer as the lead scribe WandaVision will star Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, and Kathryn Hahn in an undisclosed role. Marvel Studios’ “WandaVision” blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany)-two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives-begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems. Do you think Evans Peters is actually playing Mephisto? Share your thoughts in the comments below! I think Kevin wanted to make sure that there was a reason for it, that it made sense. And he’s a pleasure - truly a pleasure to work with. He is always up for the absolute weirdest option. He is a comic book fan, and a Marvel fan. Evan was always up for it - like, always, always, always. “We were rooting for it for so long, and didn’t know if it would be possible. Jac Shaeffer later discussed the reaction by both Evan Peters and Kevin Feige: We thought like, how do we give him this entrance, and then enjoy that, and then make it crazy? And we had long had the idea of the trope of the brother, or the relative, or whoever comes to town and like, stirs things up with the family - that sitcom trope.” This show is such a mind scramble, and because it’s working on so many levels, and there’s so many notions of what’s real and what’s not, and performance, and casting, and audience, and fandom, and all of that, we just thought it would be the biggest thrill to bring Evan over to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And then we were like, how in the world are we going to make this make logical sense? Like, how do we justify this? Because that’s the thing, you can hatch a million great ideas, but to make them land, to make them be grounded, to make them feel organic to the larger story. It opens on February 14, 2019.‘WandaVision’ EP On Not Including Darcy & Jimmy Woo’s BackstoriesĮxecutive producer Jac Shaeffer has now opened up about Evan Peters’ shocking appearance with and shared how it all came to be during production: X-Men: Dark Phoenix also stars Michael Fassbender, Sophie Turner, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and Jessica Chastain. He starts sending the team on more dangerous missions, including one to space that ends with Grey going to some very dark places." Jean Grey begins to develop incredible powers that corrupt and turn it into a Dark Phoenix. Mystique, Beast, Storm, Nightcrawler and the rest of the X-Men spring into action when a malevolent, power-hungry force threatens to overtake Jean Grey’s mind. An unfortunate side effect is how that fuels Charles Xavier's ( James McAvoy) ego. The film is set in 1992, "roughly a decade after Apocalypse and finds the X-Men dealing with being heroes. X-Men: Dark Phoenix is said to be a grounded film that is loyal to the comics. But the one they used was pretty chill, and was in the first half of the film, which I was like, 'Oh, Jesus, that's kind of weird.'" And we had a lot of different versions for when they open that door and turn to us. Peters talked about that scene in a previous interview with CinemaBlend, saying: "We were shooting and were like, 'Okay, we're going to do a quick thing for Deadpool 2,' And I was like, 'Oh, that's awesome!' I thought it was going to be at the end of the film, in the credits, like some sort of funny Easter egg thing. It was just a brief cameo, but one that brought on some big laughs. Quicksilver was most recently spotted in Deadpool 2. I hope that Quicksilver plays a good sized role in this next movie and I can't wait to see what kind of crazy scene that they have planned for him this time! It makes sense that the character would mature over time. "He's definitely a little older and more mature, a little more subdued, sort of trying to make a, not a name but trying to do right by the X-Men and be a good guy and use his powers for good, so I think he's on that path at the moment." He explains that Quicksilver has done a little growing up. Things are going to be a little different for the character this next time around. Mark Hamill and His Return of the Jedi Prop Lightsaber Reunite in Pop Culture Quest Clipĭuring a recent interview with ScreenRant, Peters talks about Quicksilver and how he's changed for Dark Phoenix.
